Which steel is used in the Profi series?
The Profi series uses German-made DIN 1.4116 steel.
Do the specified dimensions only refer to the steel part of the product?
Yes, the dimensions listed on the product detail pages refer only to the cutting steel part of the product.
Do I need to sharpen the product before using it?
Pirge products are expertly sharpened and packaged ready for use. There is no need to sharpen them again. When you receive your knife in its sealed packaging, you can test Pirge’s sharpness as soon as you open it.
Can I sharpen my knives at home?
You can easily sharpen your knives at home by following the videos we have prepared. These are available on our YouTube channel.
Can I wash my knives in the dishwasher?
The stainless steels used in Pirge products are high-carbon alloy special steels, so washing them in the dishwasher may cause oxidation due to chemical agents. The pressure of hot water in the dishwasher can also damage the cutting edge of your knife. For this reason, we recommend washing our products by hand instead of using a dishwasher.
