Materials Used in Our Products
The first step in the production journey of a knife involves high-quality steel. Using stainless steel to obtain a durable and sharp knife is among our fundamental principles. As the Pirge Family, we prefer the highest quality steels originating from Germany, France, and Spain. Especially, the type of steel known as DIN 1.4116 is the most commonly preferred material that ensures the longevity and stainless properties of our knives. These steels are determined with special formulations and undergo rigorous analysis before production. Properties such as chromium, carbon, corrosion resistance, silicon, molybdenum, among many others, are carefully controlled to determine whether they meet the desired level.
In addition to DIN 1.4116, other premium steels such as T5MoV and Böhler N690 are also among the other steels we use in knife production. These steels have durability suitable for the wide temperature ranges involved in the crucial stage of the knife, the cryogenic-thermal treatment.
In addition to steels, the handle of the knife is also of great importance to provide the user's comfort and ergonomics. With our options of plastic or wooden handles, we offer solutions tailored to the needs of users. While PP, ABS, and POM raw materials are used in our plastic handles; high-quality materials such as wenge, root walnut, rosewood, or composite wood are preferred for our wooden handles.
As the Pirge Family, we prioritize quality and customer satisfaction in the production of our products. We continuously improve our material and production processes to offer you the best.
